Summer travelling school of parents’ techniques “Mother’s school”. Long term objectives of the project: Overcoming of the negative stereotypes and changing attitude of the society toward visually-disabled people. Short-term objectives of the project: changing parents’ attitude toward visually-disabled children by increasing their awareness about the features of development and upbringing of such children, and their potential chances to improve the quality of life for children with disabilities; creating international partnership In solving problems of children with disabilities.

pThe target group of the project is the families, which up bring visually-disabled children aged 3 – 8 years old. 10 parents and 10 children will take part in the project, and also 10 volunteers and 8 specialists from Russia, Ukraine and Byelorussia. Leading specialists ion the area of upbringing visually disabled children from Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Byelorussia will provide families with professional services for free during the 10 days of stay..

The wide range of activities will be offered to the participants of the project during the 10 days of the project: 4 lectures; 8 master classes on the related problems; Individual studies with children on: massage, physical rehabilitation, orientation in the space, orientation in the social conditions, individual studies with the participation of defectologist, individual studies with the participation of speech therapist; Psychological training for parents; Tales therapy for children; Tales therapy for parents; Creative activities on making on making tactile books and manuals; The parents and their children will be able to take a rest and get necessary skills and experience.

The financing is necessary for conducting the summer travelling school of parents’ techniques “Mother’s school” for families, which bring up visually-disabled children, for payment: fare, abode, and meals for families and specialists, which will take part, and also editing of booklets and informational materials. All the organizations, which are the partners in realization of the project, are the NGOs and they look for funding of their projects by applying to different charity funds, and to private persons.
