Kharkiv rehabilitation center for young people with disabilities and members of their families «Pravo Vibora» in cooperation with the Labor and Social Politics Department of Kharkiv City Council, Kharkiv Regional Department of Ukraine Culture Fund, Ukraine National Assembly of People with Disabilities Global Fund for Children (GFC), Kharkiv Local Trade Union of Employable People with Disabilities and Kharkiv Community of Modern Art "Art-Maestro" announces the 10th Art Contest for Children and Young People with Disabilities "Little Parnassus – 2012". The aim of the Contest is to find and promote the young talents, to overcome the negative social stereotypes towards people with disabilities.

The participants may choose between the following sections:

LITERATUE
 Poetry
      Prose
        Literary translation
PERFORMANCE
        Singing
         Playing musical instruments
         Dancing
    ACTING
Inscenization of literary works
Recitation of literary works
Author songs
VISUAL ARTS
APPLIED ARTS

Young talented people with disabilities, aged 16 to 30, having sufficient art portfolios are welcomed to participate in the Contest. The portfolios may be as follow:
Literature (poetry – 15-20 items, prose – 3-5 items)
Performance (1-2 large or 2-3 small items)
Acting (1 large item or 2-3 small items)
Visual Arts (10-15 items)
Journalism (2-3 reports or 1 tele- or radio program of social content)
Applied Arts (up to 10 items)

    Audition of the participants and selection of the winners and awardees will be carried out by a qualified panel of judges. The chairman of judges Boyko Viktor Stepanovich is the Merited Artist of Ukraine, a poet from Kharkiv.

The selection of the participants will take place on November 1-2, the Gala Concert and the Award Ceremony - on November 14 (timed to the International Day of the Blind).
